Aluminium Tubing
The properties of aluminum that make it so attractive include strength, light weight, fabricability and corrosion resistance. Aluminium is approximately 1/3 the weight of steel, yet some aluminum alloys exhibit tensile strengths greater than some low carbon steels. Many alloys can be heat-treated to improve strength properties. Unidus can supply precision, Cut-to-Length, custom Shaped and Sized Aluminium Tubing in wide variety of standards.

Manufacturing procedure
During aluminum extrusions, the application of pressure forces heated aluminum billets or logs through a metal die. The die is an opening in the aluminum extrusions press shaped to resemble the final aluminum part needed. The extruded aluminum parts reflect the aluminum extrusions die shape.
About Aluminium
Aluminium is a soft and lightweight metal with a dull silvery appearance, due to a thin layer of oxidation that forms quickly when it is exposed to air. Aluminium is nontoxic (as the metal), non-magnetic, and non-sparking. Pure aluminium has a tensile strength of about 49 mega pascals (MPa) and 400 MPa if it is formed into an alloy. Aluminium is about one-third as dense as steel or copper; is malleable, ductile, and easily machined and cast; and has excellent corrosion resistance and durability due to the protective oxide layer.
Advantages
Aluminum tubing provides a durable, strong and extremely versatile solution to many tubing requirements. Among the attributes of aluminum alloys are their malleability and the ease with which they can be machined. Virtually any metal fabrication technique used, from roll-forming to stamping, can be performed on aluminum.
